Hard work, practice, and keeping up your craft is essential to succeeding as a designer.
Coffee Master at Starbucks Coffee Company. Coffee has grown into a passion over the years.
I've learned that hard work, practice, and keeping up your craft is essential to succeeding as a designer. I am a firm believer in the whole process, not just the end result. I have learned in my time at the University of Washington that excellence is an ongoing and continuous process. Currently, I am attending the University of Washington while simultaneously working at Starbucks. At UW, I was a direct admit into the design division through the highly competitive entrance class.
My major concentration is in Visual Communication Design. In addition to obtaining a bachelor degree in design (BDes), I am the Social Communications director for UW’s AIGA chapter and had an internship in Events and Marketing at the School of Art + Art History + Design. At Starbucks, I am certified as a Coffee Master. This gives me additional knowledge about the company and the products that we sell. Being certified, I am able to spread my knowledge about coffee, and the company, to my fellow partners so that we can improve the customers' in-house experience.
